Overdue Posting and Valentines Day

I haven't posted for a while because the month of January was kind of a difficult one. My paternal grandmother passed away on New Years Day and there was a lot of family grieving. She was 94 and lived a long life.

There were a few family birthday's that I don't want to forget to mention through the month of January - I'm sorry I am only getting to them now - So, Happy Birthday to my cousin, Adam, our niece, Alexis Faith, and to my mom.

For Valentines Day this month I organized the party for Raene's class. The kids all had a great time. We had ice cream sundae's with fresh strawberries and whip cream. Played a fun (and silent) letter hunting game, and made some cute books.

For our own family Valentine's Day we had a Tea Party! I made the kids some invitation. Then the kids helped me make oatmeal raisin cookies. While they were baking the kids got dressed up and I made some hot cocoa. They had a ton of fun and we got to spend the time together, which was the most important part.
