April 9th was our 6th anniversary. I made us reservations at Mangiamo which is part of the Gilmore Collection of restaurants. It used to be Gibson's which is where Neil proposed to me. It was a really wonderful evening filled with wine, good food, and a lot of laughter.
In other fun news, Neil turned 30 on Saturday. We went to the zoo with the kids for their Earth Day celebration and then worked on the dryer (which is finally working again - Yay Neil!) and the vegetable garden. We also got a small pine tree from the zoo which we enjoyed planting as well. My friend, Aly, was kind enough to stay with the kids while Neil and I enjoyed a night out with a few friends. We don't usually celebrate birthdays but I thought it would be nice for Neil to go into the next decade enjoying himself.
Finally, I was offered a position at a new health club around the corner from our house. I will be working in their childcare area starting some time in June. I'm really excited about this job and so far it seems like it will allow me to continue babysitting. And if I need to I can bring my kids into work with me.
