Well, I have probably already told most people we know and those I haven't told in person have probably read on Facebook but I should probably update this family blog for the few left out there. We are having another baby!
Baby Postema #3 will be arriving at the end of July. My due date is July 28th but we are planning another c-section so he/she will probably arrive around the July 21st or 22nd. The timing couldn't be better for us and we are extremely excited to be adding another member to our family.
I am currently 13 weeks along and it has been a bumpy road so far. I had a scare around 7 weeks with a little spotting. After an ultrasound the baby seemed fine. I have had countless colds and two major illnesses that included lots of vomiting and fevers. The normal pregnancy nausea has been relentless and it's still an ongoing battle. I don't get to use my normal OBGYN and have had to switch doctors and on top of that they haven't been able to get me in to a doctor yet due to constantly rescheduling my appointments and the offices running behind so I still have not had an initial appointment with a doctor. However, I have seen lots of doctors lately because I was in the ER with the inability to urinate. They determined that my uterus is tilted and it is pinching my urethra. That has meant wearing a catheter for the last week.
Luckily, through it all the baby has been fine. The ultrasounds have been wonderful and the heart rate has been strong. I have an appointment today and hopefully my uterus will have righted itself. I also, finally, have an appointment scheduled this Thursday to get to meet my new doctor.
Raene and Ruby are so excited about having a new brother or sister. Raene is constantly giving suggestions for baby names and they both love to tell random people that "mommy has a baby in her belly." I will try and keep everyone updated as things progress and maybe I can even get Neil to take a few belly photos of me while I grow :)
