Thump Thumpin Away

I had the appointment with the Cardiologist on Friday. He thinks that the palpitations are just pregnancy related but wanted to rule out anything unusual. That meant that I got to wear a heart monitor for 24 hours (those things hurt to take off!) and I go back on Wednesday for an Echocardiogram (heart ultrasound) and a stress test on the treadmill. I'm not really worried about all of it though. I think not eating or drinking for 4 hours prior to the appointment will be the worst part. I'm pregnant! I'm always hungry and thirsty and not eating makes me more nauseas - it should be loads of fun.

We got to meet my Dad and his wifes new dog on Saturday. She was so pretty and sweet. She's a german short hair, named Posh. Me and the kids loved her, Luna did not. Luna is just so jumpy and nervous that she didn't want anything to do with her. Poor Luna, Posh just wanted to play with her.

I have been keeping very busy with projects for the kids school. I'm the school's Box Tops for Education Coordinator which mostly means I just collect all the Box Tops from kids and their families and send them into the company. So I set up a collection contest at the school because we were fast approaching the deadline for sending them in this year and being able to receive money. It went really well. The kids sent in over $370 worth of Box Tops this year :) I already can't wait to be able to do a contest for next year.

I'm also involved in the PTC (parent teacher committee), which just had our first BINGO night at the school. It was a lot of fun. There were prizes for the kids and adults and we sold donuts and hot cocoa. I can't wait to find out how much money we raised at the next meeting.

The school carnival is also at the end of the week and I have volunteered to help with that. Right now we are trying to get the rest of the decorations and raffle prizes in order. Then I am going to bake at least 3 cakes for the Cake Walk. I will get to enjoy the first half of the carnival with the kids and Neil, and then I am going to be working in one of the rooms for the second half.

It's hard to believe that my kids are at the age of a million school activities already and now I am starting all over again with the baby stuff.
