Counting Down and the Delivery Dilemma

Well, we have a date of arrival. July 21st is this baby girls official c-section date. That's not to say that she wont decide to come sooner but right now everything seems to be on target. I'll be 26 weeks along tomorrow so that leaves 13 more weeks to go!

I had an appointment yesterday and things seemed good. It was hard to hear the heartbeat with how much she was moving around in there. I've been having a really hard time with the belly growth during this pregnancy because I've got a lot of scar tissue build up from the first two surgeries and as she grows it tugs on the scar tissue which is causing me quite a bit of pain.

I talked to the doctor about my options for delivery and future pregnancies based on all the scar tissue. She said that during the operation they can look at where the scar tissue has formed and if it is not directly attached to the uterus they can cut some layers into the scar tissue and it will move more naturally. I asked about delivering naturally instead of via c-section and she said that they wouldnt tell me 'no' if the baby wanted to arrive early but that they wouldnt want to wait and see what would happen if I went past my c-section date. There's more risk involved with a natural delivery since I've already had multiple c-sections. But another c-section will mean more scar tissue making a 4th pregnancy, possibly more difficult (if we even go that route). I just want to know all my options since Neil is still fixated on having a boy and who knows what the future may hold.

We are also getting closer to settling on a name! I can't wait until I can start using it, just waiting on the final okay from Neil :)
